Ernest Borgnine (natural January 24, 1917) is an American actor.

He was innate Ermes Effron Borgnino in Hamden, Connecticut to Charles Borgnino and Anna Boselli, Italian Catholic immigrants. He joined a United States Navy after high school and stayed in for tenner years. Fallowing two or three years of drifting, he attended a Randall School of Drama within Hartford. As a result graduation, he went to the illustrious Barter Theatre in Abingdon, Virginia. Within 1949, he debuted on Broadway in Harvey.
